Our Care Homes provide accomodation for older people whose physical infirmity prevents them remaining at home, but who still enjoy their memories and can appreciate the stimulation of family and friends and a busy programme of activities. Douglas Bank and Waldernheath Care Centre cares for residents without nursing care.

This group of homes employ nurses to meet their nursing requirements.

Dementia Care

Tudor Bank, Alt Park, Douglas Bank, Banksfield and Brandon House
Dementia is the most common mental illness in older people leading to impaired memory, impaired reasoning and impaired ability to learn, plus high levels of stress. Our specialist units are designed to compensate for the above improvements and our staff are trained to encourage service users to continue with their daily life and activities in a domestic non institutional atmosphere. Alt Park care for residents with or without nursing care.

Younger People With Enduring Mental Health

Tudor Bank
We have designated units to care for service users with conditions such as brain injury, Huntington’s disease, korsakoffs, mental disorder or Parkinson’s disease. Each service user will be encouraged to develop a care plan that identifies their individual care requirements and life plan goals. The central goal is to maintain each service user’s independence and ensure the role of family and friends remains central to their lives.

Respite Care

Respite care is a short term care designed to give carers a much needed break so that they can go on holiday in the knowledge that their loved one is being well cared for.

There is some limited state help available on a means tested basis.
